How Much BAC Water for Kisspeptin?

There is no universal BAC-water volume for Kisspeptin because the required liquid volume depends on the verified quantity of peptide and the concentration being mathematically targeted. More liquid produces a lower concentration; less liquid produces a higher concentration.

How Much BAC Water Should Be Added to Kisspeptin?

There is no universal volume.

The amount of liquid required for a mathematical target concentration is determined by the total peptide quantity and the desired concentration.

What Is Kisspeptin?

Kisspeptins are a family of neuropeptides encoded by the KISS1 gene. They signal through the kisspeptin receptor, commonly called KISS1R or GPR54.

Kisspeptin signaling is an important upstream regulator of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). Through this pathway, kisspeptin participates in the control of LH and FSH secretion, puberty and reproductive function.

Human research has investigated several kisspeptin forms, particularly Kisspeptin-10 and Kisspeptin-54.

Kisspeptin-54 is another naturally occurring kisspeptin isoform and has been investigated extensively in human reproductive-endocrine studies.

Human research has examined KP-54 in healthy volunteers, reproductive disorders and assisted reproduction research.

How Kisspeptin Works

Kisspeptin acts upstream of GnRH neurons. Binding of kisspeptin to KISS1R/GPR54 stimulates signaling that can increase GnRH secretion, which in turn influences pituitary LH and FSH secretion.

This places kisspeptin at an important control point in the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis.

Research Limitations, FDA Status & Safety

U.S. FDA status

Kisspeptin is not an FDA-approved drug

FDA's October 2024 briefing document states that Kisspeptin-10 is not a component of an FDA-approved drug and that there is no applicable USP or National Formulary drug-substance monograph for Kisspeptin-10.

The FDA Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee subsequently voted unanimously against placing Kisspeptin-10 on the 503A Bulks List.

FDA identifies potential risks involving immunogenicity for certain administration routes and complexities involving peptide-related impurities and active pharmaceutical ingredient characterization.

FDA has also stated that it has limited safety information for proposed routes and therefore lacks sufficient information to determine whether the drug could cause harm in humans via those routes.

Concentration mathematics does not establish product quality. A mathematical mg/mL calculation cannot establish identity, purity, sterility, endotoxin status, stability, aggregation profile, manufacturing quality or suitability for human administration.
